ABC Radio interviewed Maria from Kingoonya Waterhole Hotel about our plans for the Hotels 75th celebration. The story has created a lot of interest in Kingoonya and we are excited to hear that people are willing to help us by sharing photographs and stories for us to display at Kingoonya and on our website. We are also excited to hear that an artist or two wish to do some artwork to add to the collection.
You can feel free to add your comments to this post or contact Maria or myself (Jacqueline Hancock). Our contact details are on the website www.kingoonya.org.au under the contact page.
We look forward to not only hearing from you but also seeing your contributions.
We would love to have people who live or work in the Kingoonya area join our blog. Tell us about your experiences in the Kingoonya areas and share your photos. Looking forward to hearing from you.
Well here is our first attempt at a Blog for the Progress Assoc. We have never had to manage a blog before so this will be interesting. It is our hope to develope a forum where we can hear your stories and thoughts about Kingoonya and the outback of Australia.
Bear with us as we attempt to master the art of Blog Admin lol
Don’t forget to stop in for one when you are travelling the Stuart Highway. It is only 43 km from Glendambo and a welcome break from the highway. Road is open to all vehicles. The beers are cold and the service friendly. Also check out our latest t-shirts.
